Dear Distinguished Members,

Gulberenk opened the 2019- 2020 service season with the program called “Barbeque Meatballs” in Kutahya. In the program through which the subject was how rights could be abused, we discussed the rights of human beings, animals and even plants. Moreover, we observed how wrong it was to do injustice to the rights. Thus, it turned out that we were interrupting rights when we are barbecuing. Without realizing it, the mouthwatering meat that we cook would smell so good to us but also to others. That is, people smelling the delicious meatballs will probably crave for them, and as we do not know these peoples we would not be able to offer them. And not only human beings, but also animals like cats and dogs would smell and desire a piece of meat. These are all about rights. Furthermore, while preparing the fire with firewoods we would not realize that we burn the ants and grass on them. We harm things unconsciously.

Selfishness is a very bad characteristic. Selfish people think only about their own rights and do not respect the rights of others. In the Gulberenk Song which was sung in the program, the following were said: It is easy to spend for your pleasure or your exquisite desire, but difficult to spend for the orphans and the poor? While it is easy to spend in the shopping center or in the neighborhood market, it is difficult when spending for Allah in the charity market? Why that hard? Why that hard? Ask yourself this question! Ask yourself and think. Ask yourself and find out. Ask yourself and learn, repent, and correct thyself.

As our dear Prophet Muhammad Mustafa sallallahu alayhi and wa sallam once said: If you knew what I know, you would laugh less and cry more. One would get really troubled as he/she got to know more. The happiest ones are ignorant. Unfortunately, those who understand this are very few.

We should respect the tree, the land, the bird, the stone, the sky, the sea, and whether we recognize or not, we must respect the rights of all people. A Muslim does never do wrong against the rights of anyone. Gulberenk Children will be good examples fort he humanity who are trying to create a peaceful World.

When we learned all these, we all decided to be more sensitive and more useful. We have determined to be polite, gentle, emotional, hardworking, harmonious, good mannered and auspicious individuals.

Thus Kutahya completed its very first program with such love and joy. We returned to our homes with prayers, goodness, joy and consciousness. Hope to meet you in the “Rain in the Cloud” program in October…
