Dear Visitors,

Educational Children Programs, prepared by Gulberenk Values Education Association, continue on the internet with all its excitement! The title of our program for May was “Bird in the Cage”. All together, we said “Get rid of the cages you have been trapped in. It turns out that every living thing wanted to be free and live in its own natural environment. The fish were happy in the sea and the birds in the sky. People are expected to be peaceful in their homes, in the villages and cities they live in; but for some reason it was not always like this. Because the visible or invisible cages in which they are imprisoned prevented this.

The visible cage was the partition formed by metal or iron rods arranged at intervals and in different sizes, usually used temporarily when transporting birds and wild animals from one place to another. The invisible cage was all the situations such as delusion, anxiety, despair, ungratefulness, laziness, indolence, ignorance, cowardice, jealousy and greed.

We can dismiss the waswasa cage with prayers, the cage of worry with caution and trust, the cage of despair with faith, the cage of gratitude by looking at blessings, and the laziness cage by being aware of our needs. By studying the cage of laziness, by reading and researching the cage of ignorance, by approaching the brave cage of cowardice, by accepting the danger of the cage of jealousy, we can also break the cage of ambition with conviction.

People should not be unfair to themselves and try to be a good, successful, useful person by getting rid of all these cages we count. Only true believers could achieve this. Our beloved Prophet Hz. Muhammad Mustafa sallallahu alayhi and wa sallam said in a hadith, “A Muslim is a person whom other Muslims do not see any harm from their hands and language. A believer is the person from whom people are sure of their lives and properties. “ (Bukhari, Iman).

It was very important for us to be awake until our life-bird flew away from the body cage, and to make the most of the life opportunity that was given to us all only once. We should be protected as voluntary believers of Allah from all kinds of evil that want to cage us. Allah, the Most High, in a verse says, “Those who repent, those who worship, praise, those who live like passengers in the world, those who bow, prostrate, encourage good and forbid evil, those who observe the limits of Allah; good news to those believers! “(Surat at-Tawbah, 112). When we heard this, we opened our hands and prayed as follows: “O Allah! Make us of those who have attained freedom, those who freed themselves from their cages and found peace in your presence. Amen!”.
