Dear Distinguished Members,

Gulberenk opened the 2019- 2020 service season with the program entitled “Barbeque Meatballs in Zonguldak.Throughout the program abusing the rights of human beings, animals and plants was mentioned in detail and we discussed how wrong it was to do such injustice.

Thus, it turned out we somehow abuse the rights of various beings when we are barbecuing. Without realizing we let many peoples smell our mouthwatering meatballs and make them crave. Merely human beings? No! Also cats and dogs would smell and crave for the meatballs and maybe would try to get some piece. Furthermore, while preparing the barbeque fire we burn many ants and grass along with the firewood. We hurt so many different beings. Selfishness is a very bad quality. Selfish people think only about their rights and do not respect the rights of others.

In the Gulberenk Song sung through the program, we said: It is easy to spend for pleasure for your exquisite desires but difficult when it comes to the orphans and the poor? While it is easy to spend in the shopping center or in the neighborhood market, it is difficult when spending for Allah in the charity market? Why so hard? Why so hard? Ask yourself this question! Ask yourself and think. Ask yourself and find out. Ask yourself and learn, repent and take the right path.

As our dear Prophet Muhammad Mustafa sallallâhu alayhi and wa sallam once said: If you knew what I know, you would laugh less and cry more. One would get more troubled as he got to know more. The happiest ones are the ignorant ones. Unfortunately, those who understand this are very few.

We should respect the tree, the land, the bird, the stone, the sky, the sea, and whether we recognize or not, we must respect the rights of all people. A Muslim does not interrupt the right of other beings. Gulberenk Children, for example, would be among the ones that strive to make the World a peaceful place.

When we learned all this, we all decided to be more sensitive and more useful. We have determined to be polite, gentle, emotional, hardworking, harmonious, good mannered and auspicious people.

We returned to our homes with prayers, goodwill, joy and consciousness. Hope to meet you in the “Rain in the Cloud” program in October…
