Dear Precious Members,

Gulberenk Educational Children’s Programs, which have taken place in Istanbul on the first Saturday and Sunday of each month with the collaboration of Gulberenk Values Education Association and Golden Child Association, continues with a fresh new format!

Through these new programs, which include various competitions, gifts and songs, children have had great excitement! Our friends who were ranked in the handicraft competition, which we announced two months ago, also received their awards with great joy! The piece of art that came first in the competition was the work entitled “Bismillah”, a fine example of calligraphy. The second place was the Mohammed (pbuh) themed board, which was made with the method of copying and fabric painting. Ant lastly, the third place was given to the greatfully designed dress with the title “Girl with the Red Headscarf”.

Through the program based on subjects Ramadan Fasting and Patience we learned what fasting really is and what it provides us. Apparently, it is clear that fasting is an order of our Supreme Creator Allah. And despite its difficulties, it is very good for us to fast. To stop eating and drinking before the sunrise and continue until the sunset is called fasting. Fasting teaches us patience, helping others, brotherhood and sisterhood, and it also teaches us that Allah is the one and only creator of blessings. Moreover, fasting provides us bodies with good health and fills our minds with peace.

When we are in fasting, if someone comes and directs to us some swearwords, we must move away from him/her and tell ourselves, “I am fasting!”. Through the month of Ramadan, it would be better to read the Qur’an, to pray more often, to go to the Tarawih prayers, to wear our cleanest and most beautiful clothes. In this month we should pray more and help.
We must compete with other muslims in giving more iftars to the hungry and poor.

Fasting is the half of patience. For those who fast with great patience there is great joy through the iftars and Eid ul Fitr at the end of Ramadan. And the most joyous moments to be experienced are only known by Allah, as Allah has acknowledged that the rewards of the ones who fast will have glorious status’ in heaven but more details will not be uncovered until then. Thus, this means, if you fast, in your afterlife you will be rewarded with unbelievable surprises! Hurrayyyyy! Let’s go now. Let’s prepare for other upcoming programs while fasting! Let us fast regularly and keep fasting patiently! Heeeeeyyyyt! 🙂
