Dear Distinguished Members,

Gulberenk opened its 2019- 2020 service season with the program entitled “Barbeque Meatballs”. Through the program in which the main topic was “Respect to the Rights”, we all observed the urgency to respect the rights of animals and plants (nature) and realized that doing injustice to them is completely wrong. Thereby, we also realized that while making our barbeque meatballs we somehow do wrong to the ones who smell our mouthwatering meatballs and start to crave for them. And not only human beings, but also animals like cats and dogs will smell the delicious dish and will long for a piece. Thus, for us, they all have the right on the barbeque meatballs. Furthermore, even through the preparation of our barbeque we do harm the nature. For instance, when we prepare the fire for the barbeque we burn the harmless ants and maybe grass on the firewood.

Selfishness is a very bad feature, according to us. Selfish peoples would only care about their own rights and never respect the rights of others. Through the Gulberenk Song sung in the program, the following lyrics took place: It is easy to spend for pleasure for your own exquisite desires, but then difficult when it comes to spend for the orphans and the poor? While it is easy to spend in the shopping center or in the neighborhood market, is it really that difficult when spending for Allah in the charity market? Why so hard? Why so hard? Ask yourself this question! Ask and contemplate. Ask yourself to find out. Ask yourself to learn, repent, and correct yourself.

Our dear Prophet Muhammad Mustafa sallallahu alayhi and wa sallam once said: If you knew what I know, you would laugh less and cry more. One would get more troubled as she/he starts to know more. The happiest ones are the ignorant. Unfortunately, those who understand this are very few.

We should respect the tree, the land, the bird, the stone, the sky, the sea, and whether we recognize or not, we must respect the rights of all people. A Muslim would never violate the right of anyone. Within this scope, the Gulberenk Children are good examples who are trying hard to create a peaceful World for us.

When we learned all this, we all decided to be more sensitive and more useful. We have determined to be polite, gentle, emotional, hardworking, harmonious, good mannered and auspicious peoples. We were always very happy to hear this news: Gulberenk Educational Children’s Programs will start to take to the stage in Kutahya after Izmir, Zonguldak and Adana.

We returned to our homes with prayers, good wishes, joy and consciousness. Hope to meet you in the “Rain in the Cloud” program in October…
