Dear Precious Members,

Our Yellow Program entitled, “Reminders of the Summer Season” was so greatly realized! Keloglan, understood what went wrong when he gave into laziness through the holiday.

Turns out the summer was not given to us to waste our time. Plants, animals and people need these hot days a lot. Without the sunlight, our bones can not be healthy. In order for the fruits to ripen, to dry the clothes, to know the value of the shadow, water and ice cream, the burning heat of the Sun was always needed.

Then the Sun said:
“I am one of Allah’s blessings. I am only rising and setting when ordered by Allah. Some children complain constantly like, “Pfff, it is too hot!”. However, instead of complaining about me, they should realize my benefits and be grateful. Because they do not know how the ones frozen during winter because of their poverty have eagerly waited for me. Thanking me is like thanking Allah. I am the Sun. They also call me Shams! The ones who are always peaceful, and thank to my existence!”

Oh, and there was this huge lemon, which was worth seeing. This month in Gulberenk, everyone learned to make lemonade. Lemon’s letter was worth thinking on:
“Dear Child! In order to be transformed into a lemonade with a good taste, I have to be squeezed. Thus, you also had better accept certain troubles to turn into a good person who is beneficial to peoples :)”.

You see, everything was again very nice! Then what did we do? Since the summer was not a time for laziness, we started working again. For summer programs, we rolled our sleeves! We chose the color of next month: Green! We invite you to the Green Program on “Waste”! By the way, we will meet our friends in Trabzon! Bye for now!

Note: Our Sanliurfa program has passed with great enthusiasm. Thousands of children from Urfa filled the hall. They all had the joy of meeting with Gulberenk for the second time. Thank you to each of them!
