Gulberenk Values Education Association has left behind another program organized in cooperation with Golden Child Magazine. The issue of the Uncle Tahir Program was “Cleaning”. We have learned that cleaning is not done with soap only. Besides, cleaning is also related to clean your heart, your thoughts, your intentions. This is called spiritual cleansing.

Your feet may be cleaned by bathing, but the basic foot cleaning is also going to places to conduct good deeds, to go somewhere with the intention of benevolence. Cleaning of Money comes from giving charity and zakat, the cleansing of the heart results from your prayers and acting according to the will of Allah. If we keep our surroundings clean, we will make humans, animals and even the plants happy. Because a peaceful and clean environment will always refresh the heart. The music that is very loud does not only cause noise pollution, it also reduces the human comprehension. Scents containing chemical substances would damage our brains.

In the program, a White Water Lily called Lotus Plant had her turn to for a speech. Allah has created her with the ability to cleanse herself. Whenever some dust wants to stick on her, she would swing and shake. With a confused face she then says: “I am not the only one who can achieve this. When you people want to get rid of the dust coming from haram and wrong doings, you can get clean by repenting, taking ablution and doing good deeds.

To add some participant student comments from the audience. Elif Sude BAYAT said, “I am ten years old. In this program I learned that the zucchini is a vegetable that is very cleansing and useful. Thus I mostly liked the zucchini”. Kubra KIMIRTI stated that she was eleven years old, she liked the zucchini which is beneficial for the health to eat, and she realized that cleaning can be done also through spiritual cleansing. She mostly liked the Lily which can cleanse itself by swinging.

Gulberenk was recently a guest in Simav, Altinova and Amasya. In addition to its successful programs, Gulberenk has started to identify the “Gulberenk Custodians” in the provinces. Our goal is that each province can build its own Gulberenk team and become able to make at least one program for its children each month.

In the meantime, the number of members of the Gulberenk Values Education Association is increasing day by day. We continue to accept members around Turkey and abroad.
