Dear Visitors,

Tonight we started the Before Sleep Program with the “Winter Song”! Again, we gained very good and necessary knowledge. It turns out that when it snowed, the surroundings would light up. Everywhere is turned into a white and clean image. Children played snowballs, made snowmen, and everyone, big and small, got filled with joy.

“If the snow was pitch black; how would we feel if the branches of trees, the roofs of houses and the edges of the roads were all black?”, we then thought and shared our ideas on this matter in our group. When most of our friends stated that his or her heart would be dark and his or her soul would be bored; we contemplated how beautiful and properly our Allah created everything. We thank Allah for making the snow white and refreshing for us!

Then, we examined a photo and we were very sad. Here is what we saw: There were four brothers trying to sleep in a muddy place with a puddle and stones. Their situation was deplorable. Seeing their state, we once again realized that we had so many possibilities and how little thankful we were! We got ashamed of ourselves for our endless desires, our reproaches to our parents, our meals that we do not like, and our blessings that we often forget to thank!

While we are so wealthy; we remembered that we have many brothers and sisters, who did not have bread to eat, a house to stay and a room to sleep in. It turns out that the real thing, rather than just saying is by practicing would be achieved. This however could be achieved by not being ungrateful, but by thanking our parents, by knowing the value of what we have, and by being grateful to our Creator.

After performing our prayers well, we said, “Oh Allah! Let me share the bounties I have with those who need it, and be able to somehow help those brothers and sisters to be warmed, relaxed and satisfied!”. After this prayer, we decided to make an effort to share what we eat and what we wear.

It turns out that those who are in difficult conditions around the world and those who have good opportunities are also in a test. Everyone should be aware of this, they should be patient with their troubles, and those who are well-off should do their best to help their brothers and sisters in need.

So that is it… Tonight, we meditated a lot and learned very valuable knowledge. We were delighted when we heard that we could put our extra toys, crayons, notebooks and books aside and put them for sale at the Children’s Charity Market! We thanked Gulberenk Values Education Association for this opportunity.

We went to our beds in the hope of fulfilling our duties before going to sleep and meeting at another Before Sleep Program.
