2020- 2021 service season’s very first Gulberenk Educational Children’s Programs, prepared by Gulberenk Values Education Association, have been realized on Telegram / Gulberenk Children’s Group. This first program entitled “Mask on My Face”, was followed by two thousand four hundred members from different parts of the world, and was found useful, successful and worth listening to again and again by these participants. In this part of the programs which we have been continuing with enthusiasm since the first day, we remembered that we should protect ourselves from materialistic and spiritual evils.
Through these days when each of us has to wear a mask due to the pandemic and pays more attention to cleaning, we asked, “What about the spiritual viruses?” Do we also wear protective masks on our hearts and minds? Can we protect our spiritual world against false ideas, harmful emotions, ugly and useless words and images, lies, envy, stinginess and ingratitude? As we take material precautions by being afraid of dying, do we also take spiritual precautions, fearing that our hearts and conscience will get sick and die?
While we were all questioning these, we learned that praying was like a very strong mask that protects from evilness and Haram. Fasting, zakat, charity, veiling and many other acts of worship were also to protect us from evil. Since our Allah, the Most Highest, knows us very well. Allah has given us mercy by commanding all that is useful and forbidding everything harmful. For this reason, those who live by obeying Allah’s orders and prohibitions are protected physically and spiritually, and those who do not believe in the Creator and live by their souls will find peace neither in the world nor in the afterlife.
Gulberenk Children take precautions and then put their trust in Allah. Locking the door of the house when going out, wearing thick clothes in cold weather, eating healthy and halal food, cleaning with clean and harmless substances are some of them.
Just as a person would mask her/his face against viruses, she/he should also mask her/his water, wallet, pot, room, phone against everything harmful and ugly. It is necessary to stay away from haram and reasons that lead to haram. Gulberenk Children are always smart and good-natured, listen to advice and do not invite misfortunes. When a misfortune takes place, that is, an unexpected evilness, he/she receives a lesson from this and corrects her/his mistakes. Mental and physical health is like an inseparable whole. It would be necessary to protect both well.
Gulberenk Educational Children’s Programs and Gulberenk Songs are like masks trying to protect children from spiritual harm. You see, this program has been a great opportunity for contemplation, for all of us! We are determined to preserve the health that our Creator has given us. We are about to meet in the Before Sleep Program every evening for the week.
