Dear Visitors,

We were together with the bees during our Before Sleep Program tonight. We were very surprised to hear the following: We realized that we were wrong when we thought these bees were just yellow, black striped bees! It turned out that all of them were big sisters who changed costumes, and were nicknamed as “Bees”.

We all learned together then that nicknames are meant to be the names given to persons or families based on their characteristics. These could be negative or positive names. If we really want to call someone with a nickname, we should not degrades or sadden them. Instead, we should give them names that are glorifying and delightful.

We also learned that listening to the azan is healing. Tonight we listened to the azan in Kutahya and repeated it. Then we prayed along with the bee sisters and ended by saying, “Ameeen!”. Then we contemplated the following: It turns out that it is a great blessing to have someone like our mothers and fathers to whom we can say, “I love you!”, hug and kiss. If they passed away, we could read the Surah Al-Fatiha to their souls and give alms to their sake in order to make them happy wherever they reside.

Together, we ended another Before Sleep Program. Thankfully, we performed our ablution and thereafter performed our prayers. Then we fell asleep peacefully.
