Tonight, we gained beautiful and useful information again in Before Sleep Program! At the beginning of the program, we learned that taking notes is the sunnah of our beloved Muhammad Mustafa sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. That’s why we decided to write down what we learned from now on. It was very important for our father to earn halal money and for our mother to prepare halal food without going to waste! We should definitely start eating by saying basmala.

We should eat the fruit or dessert before we eat it; because our beloved Prophet did so. Thus, the fruits we ate would protect the wall of our stomach, and the desserts we ate from the front would curb our unnecessary appetite. If we ate the fruit after eating, our stomach would perceive it as alcohol, and even our liver would swell and we would risk getting cirrhosis! We had to chew the bites in our mouths a lot. If we do this, our stomach will have no trouble digesting it, and it will even thank us. Those who eat the food without chewing enough

, and those who try to fill their stomach in front of the television, become fat. Because the brain was busy with something else, it forgot to inform the stomach.

We should eat our food by contemplation and in accordance with the sunnah. We should not buy our bread from outside, we should cook it ourselves with natural ingredients. We should praise our Lord so that we can find peace and well-being. Our beloved Prophet Hz. Muhammad Mustafa, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, ate only one kind, with moderation and contentment. He didn’t want to cook a variety of food.

The tables of Muslims should always be plain. In fact, these are all very simple and easy rules. The reason many people around us are sick is because they do not follow these simple rules. Our beloved Prophet tells us not to eat before we are hungry, to stop eating before we are full. He ordered us to leave one-third of our stomachs empty for food, one-third for water, and one-third for easy breathing (Tirmidhi, Zuhd 47). When we can achieve these, we will be very healthy. In fact, we only get the real taste of food when we are very, very hungry. And then we would be happier.
