Dear Visitors,

In the Before Sleep Program tonight, we meditated on two very important words: “Right” and “Grace!”. “Right” is earned in exchange for a labor, for instance, when we go to the grocery store and buy an apple worth two liras by paying its money, the apple becomes our right because we have paid the price. In this case, we should thank our Allah for having two liras and being able to get the apple. If we could not buy an apple because we did not have money, there should be no need to be sad, angry or grieve. We should be grateful for what we own, and we should praise. In both cases, we should be pleased with our Allah!

Grace means extra goodness. For example, if the greengrocer guy gives us apples even though we do not have two liras, it would be grace. But people are not obliged to please us! We should not force anyone to do extra favors for us! Then we thought the following: if we paid and bought the apple we wanted, but dropped and lost after a few days, it would be unfair to get angry with the grocery, right?

He did not give us an apple for which we did not pay, that is, if we were upset and angry with the grocery store because of not being given a favor, it would be very meaningless.

One should know how to shoulder one’s own mistakes. She / He should not attribute her/his privacy to others because of her/his negligence or mistake.

Our Almighty Allah has declared that those who pray and fast, those who do good to their parents, show respect to the elderly, those who make life better by practicing the Sunnah, and those who are pleased all the time appreciate what they have will deserve the Paradise!

However, a person can not claim that she/he deserves paradise even though she/he does not obey the orders and prohibitions of our religion by neglecting her/his worship.

Thus, if a person asks for forgiveness, accept his/her faults, knows her/ his weaknesses and opens up about these to his/her addressee with a polite language, he or she will be deserve the grace of Allah for sure.

At the end of our program, we opened our hands and said: “O Allah! Make us one of your servants who would accept your righteousness, give the right to those who deserve, deserves grace, and gets rewarded with various beauties! Amen!”.
