Dear Precious Members,

Gulberenk was in Ankara again in the second weekend of February. The program, organized by the One Heart Association and the contributions of Gulistan Education and Culture Center, was watched by hundreds of beautiful children.

Thus we all learned that when we say “reading” one should not say that it is all about books. We can read many other things like the leaves, soil, water, stones, and all other beauties in the nature. All living things are actually like books. Our Uncle Wisdom Writer, took a magnifying glass and read the universe. He said: “My name is Wisdom Writer. I read and write, and write wisdom. People think that a text can only be written in one book”. Thereby he began to read:

For example, look what is written on a piece of wood: “I am wood. Although most people do not care, I am really useful. Many items are made from me, paper is produced by me. Some people say, “He is a man like wood!”. However, in any case I do work and I am always beneficial. I would even end up being burned just because people wish to warm up. If you rethink all this while looking at me, you would talk like that in a negative way about me.

The following is written on a cow: “I eat green grass and I produce beautifully colored white milk. What sort of factory can do this? What kind of miracle am I? Only those who care for me can see the reality. Those who do not look carefully, just accept me as an animal in nature, they can not read what it written on me”.
So this is it my friends!

Oh and especially one should have seen Uncle Farmer through the program! He was so kind to his piece of land, he worked so hard for the land, and in turn, his land gave him a variety of vegetables as gift. Yet this was not all it gave. The land also gave him its mineral water, which was kept for centuries in its gut, an antique gondola, a golden cube and petroleuml. It is evident that the Earth is generous to whom works hard for it. Thus, what goes around comes around!

Keloglan, his mother, Nasreddin Hodja and the Cute Child, all gave valuable messages. It would not be sensible to write it down here as it is a long story. You better come and watch the Gulberenk Educational Children’s Program!
Meanwhile, Ankara’s productive child Zehra Nur ERBAS received her plaque from the chairman of Ankara Women’s Education Commission Mrs. Kubra. Zehra Nur, who was presented by Gulberenk Values Education Association Vice President Mrs. Nurten another award, read her poem entitled “Galata Tower” after the ceremony which she wrote herself. While watching this successful presentation, Gulberenk was proud of her!

Eren GOK, whom we asked about his feelings on the program, said that he was five years old and he liked the songs and the cute boy very much.

We are already looking forward to the March program to experience nice beauties, nice feelings to be lived together. We look forward to meet again with excitement.
