This month we contemplated on the idea of “seriousness” in Gulberenk Educational Children’s Programme tited as “One Serious One Officious”.

Being serious means to be dignified. It means to care, to focus on seriously. A dignified person is trustworthy, doesn’t simper but smiles, doesn’t ignore but improves.

Either in our relationships with our friends or while doing our homeworks, we have to be serious. But we should not bore ourselves and the people around us while being serious. Being serious is necessary but cloyless is its beauty.

Our Glorious Lord Allah Almighty states in the Kuran Suratul Furqan v.63 that:”The ˹true˺ servants of the Most Compassionate are those who walk on the earth humbly, and when the foolish address them ˹improperly˺, they only respond “Salama” (with peace). ”

Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him) also said that: “Make your Duas as you believe that Allah Almighty will accept them and know that Allah does not accept the duas perfomed with a reckless and careless hearts.” (Tirmizi, Daawat, 65).

So… Upon hearing these, we opened our hands and performed our prayes as follows: ” O Our Lord! Keep us away from officious manners and make us dignified as you want us to be. Ameen!”
