Dear Precious Members,

Gulberenk Educational Children’s Programs, which are a joint service of Golden Child Magazine and Gulberenk Values Education Association, continue in full swing. Each day more children recognizes Gulberenk, not only in Istanbul, but also around Turkey Gulberenk continues to take the stage in many cities.

It was very nice to meet hundreds of children in our Ankara and Sanliurfa tours. There is a Konya and Karaman tour ahead. Kutahya, Amasya, Ankara, Edirne and Fatsa are waiting in line. The Aunt Sefkat program taught us all, the meaning of compassion and affection. Compassion is a feeling of that is caused by love and it drives the person to do good, help and forgive peoples around them. Compassion and affection are feelings that our beloved Prophet Mohammad Mustafa sallallahu aleyhi wa sallam praised a lot and loved. But one must keep in mind that compassion should be felt in a balanced way and in the right place, this is much more beautiful.

If we have mercy on bacteria, then the patients will not recover. If we have mercy to sickness, then we ca not get ourselves cured. If we feel compassion for the criminals, we will not be helpful for the innocent. Therefore, to feel compassionate for everything and everyone does not breed goodnes always. Thus unnecessary mercy and compassion will arise trouble and annoyance. One must keep in mind, a moderate level of compassion will breed goodness.
Hacivat talked to Karagoz about the importance of affection for animals. It turns out we should not be just compassionate towards people. Trees, flowers, birds, cats, everything created by Allah asks for our compassion.

It is also necessary to know that our beloved Allah does not like to see us feeling compassion to the wrong works and to show compassion for those who do not right things. Our beloved Prophet Muhammed turned away from the wrong deeds of his companions. You must understand that we must remain within the confines of Allah and His Messenger and not exaggerate compassion and affection. For example, a mother’s feelings of compassion of her child’s wrong doings like not waking her/him up for the morning prayers, is not really compassion, but rather negligence.

To add some student comments. Azra Oner said, “I am 10 years old. I liked everything in the program. I learned compassion and pity in this program too. Umut Aksu said that he is 8 years old, he has learned to be compassionate and not to eat harmful things, he loved compassion the most”.

May Allah protect us, our parents and our relatives and friends from misery. Let us love them with compassion. Ameeen!
