Dear Distinguished Members,

Gulberenk opened the 2019- 2020 service season with the program entitled “Barbeque Meatballs in Adana.Throughout the program blocking the rights of human beings, animals and plants was discussed in detail and we all observed how wrong it was to do such injustice.

Thus, it turned out that we all somehow wrong the rights of various beings when we are even barbecuing. Without realizing we let many peoples smell our delicious meatballs and make them crave. Not only human beings but also cats and dogs would smell and crave for the meatballs and maybe would even try to have some piece. Moreover, while preparing the barbeque fire we most probably burn many ants and grass along with the firewood. Thus, we hurt so many different beings. In brief, selfishness is a very bad quality. Selfish people think only about their own rights and do not respect the rights of others.

In the Gulberenk Song sung through the program, we all said: It is easy to spend for pleasure or for your exquisite desires but difficult when it comes to the orphans and the poor? It is easy to spend in the shopping center or in the neighborhood market, but difficult when spending for Allah in the charity market? Why that hard? Why that hard? Ask yourself this question! Ask and contemplate. Ask yourself and find out. Ask yourself and learn, repent and take the right path.

Likewise our dear Prophet Muhammad Mustafa sallallâhu alayhi and wa sallam once said: If you knew what I knew, you would laugh less and cry more. One would get really troubled as she/he got to know more. The happiest ones are the ignorant ones. Unfortunately, those who understand this are so few.

We should respect the tree, the land, the bird, the stone, the sky, the sea, and whether we recognize or not, we must respect the rights of all peoples. A Muslim would never interrupt the right of other beings. Hereby, we believe Gulberenk Children, for example, would be among the ones that strive to make the World a thoroughly peaceful place.

When we learned all these, we decided to be more sensitive and more useful. We got determined to be polite, gentle, emotional, hardworking, harmonious, good mannered and auspicious people.

We returned to our homes with prayers, decisiveness, goodwill, joy and consciousness. Hope to meet you again in the “Rain in the Cloud” program in October as soon as possible…
