From The Line To The Heart lessons continue with love, enthusiasm and sincerity. What is written on the lines, Biiznillah, we are embroidering step by step! In this lesson we asked to our participants: “What did the past week add to our lives? Or what did you add to someone’s life?”. Reading each answer one by one, we prayed for our sisters to meet their joys with gratitude, their sorrows with consent, and their troubles with surrender.
Even though the day is twenty-four hours, we need to calculate not for hours, but for seconds, and just as clean drops make the earth clean; we remembered once again the fact that fully benefited seconds also improve hours. Also, the most important issue is not to blend with the crowd. We understood that being busy with ourselves means benefiting ourselves and our environment in accordance with Allah’s approval. We have decided to work in a planned and programmed manner so that our essence will be appreciated by our Owner as soon as we enter the grave.
We thought that the questions asked in this lesson were asked by the angels of the grave and we were startled! As it turns out, it was enough to think about the reality of death for a person to resurrect. Hearing this, we shrugged and came to ourselves. Then all together, unyielding in the face of difficulties, enduring, fierce, standing for fifty days in the summer heat without watering on a closed balcony… Despite all the hardships we experienced; we looked at the photo of the fruit-bearing tomato seedling and contemplated, “If we can not be as heroic as tomato seedlings, would not it be a shame for us? Is there no vitality in our roots as much as that seedling’s roots? While we have the mind, possibility, hand and foot to reach the water source? Do we have the right to whine and be lazy with thirst?”.
We faced the fact that the world is a tunnel leading to the grave and we should never sleep there. We pleaded with our Allah, Almighty, saying, “May Allah protect us from making mischief, from being left aside without remedy and from being alone in the tunnel. Let us make it possible for us to reach the exit with peace of mind and peace of soul”.
No no, we are not separated again. To digest what we listened to and remember the truth of death and resurrect, we had better travel to our core for an expedition!
