Dear Distinguished Members,

Gulberenk Educational Children’s Programs would take to the stage on the first Sunday of every month at the Dursun Aksoy Cultural Center and thereafter at the Murat Reis Boarding Qur’an Course on Mondays in Izmir. Thereby, Gulberenk opened its 2019-2020 service season with a program called “Barbeque Meatballs” in İzmir. Throughout the program vandalizing the rights of human beings, animals and plants was all mentioned in detail and we observed how wrong it was to do such injustice.

Thus, it turned out we may unconsciously vandalize the rights of various beings when we are simply barbecuing. Without realizing we let many beings smell our mouthwatering meatballs and make them crave. Not only human beings. No! Also cats and dogs would smell and crave for the meatballs and maybe try to get some piece. Furthermore, while preparing the barbeque fire we even burn many ants and grass along with the firewood, do not we? We hurt so many different beings. Thus, selfishness is a very bad quality. Selfish people think only about their rights and do not respect the rights of others.

In our Gulberenk Song sung through the program, we all said: It is easy to spend for pleasure or for your deep desires but difficult when it comes to the orphans and the poor? While it is easy to spend in the shopping center or in the neighborhood market, it is gets hard when you spend for Allah in the charity market? Why that hard? Why so hard? Ask yourself this question once! Ask yourself and consider. Ask yourself and find out. Ask yourself and learn, repent and follow the right path.

As our dear Prophet Muhammad Mustafa sallallâhu alayhi and wa sallam once said: If you knew what I know, you would laugh less and cry more. One would get troubled as he/she gets to know more. The happiest ones are the ignorant ones. Unfortunately, those who understand this are very few.

We should respect the tree, the land, the bird, the stone, the sky, the sea, and whether we recognize or not, we must respect the rights of all people. A Muslim does not interrupt the right of other beings. Gulberenk Children, for example, would be among the ones that strive to make the World a peaceful place.

When we learned all this, we all decided to be more sensitive and useful. We determined to be polite, gentle, emotional, hardworking, harmonious, good mannered and auspicious people. As a result, we all returned to our homes with prayers, goodwill, joy and consciousness. Hope to meet you in the “Rain in the Cloud” program in October…
