Dear Precious Members,

Gulberenk Educational Children’s Programs left behind its fourth year. Gulberenk, which closed its 2013- 2014 season with the Himmet Brother Program, took to the stage both in Istanbul and in many cities around Turkey during this period. Gulberenk, which has begun planning its projects for the next season without any breaks, is aiming to have a very successful program in the fifth year.

This time, we have learned that benevolence means praying. Prayer leads to help. Help is a charity, an alm. In fact, everything in the universe is competing with eachother to help people and eachother too. Colors, plants, animals, the wind, water are all constantly helping and assisting the human kind. The most precious of the humanitarian aid is benevolence. In other words, a saint’s prayers and a spiritual support…

As Fatih Sultan Mehmed Khan once said: “Each of the great peoples whose names we can not forget, who gained important successes and lived and died in the way of our beloved Prophet Mohammed Mustafa, they all have come to such states with the prayers of a saint. We did not conquer Istanbul with only our military genius. The doors of Istanbul were opened to us by the prayers of Aksemseddin, the teacher. If I have become the commander whom the Prophet praised and proclaimed, for sure I have been succesful with this faith. If we do not leave effort, the blessings and the benevolence of the saints are more fundamental than the prayers!”.

We have also learned that we will pray effortlessly and Allah will accept. When Keloglan saw how his mother’s prayer was accepted immediately, he opened his hands, saying, “Oh Allah, give me a bike, grass green colored, with a basket on the back, with two seats so I can carry my mother.” Then he waited and waited. And he almost lost his patience.

However, his mother comforted him: “My dearest, Allah may not accept every prayer right away. Sometimes it would take a day, sometimes a month, sometimes a year, sometimes even years. And sometimes our prayers will not be accepted in the present. May be they will receive a response in the afterlife. Our responsibility is the “want, and ask for”. Even if He does not give, one should be happy to comply with it. When Keloglan heard this, he continued to wait patiently.

If to add some student comments. One student from the audience in the hall of Altinoluk named İremsu Turgut said that she was seven years old and pinpointed that with the program she learned the benefits of nature and the mostly liked the cow character.

One of the audience at the Ilam hall named Sare Erbaş stated that she was nine years old, that in the program some colors were beneficial to human beings, that some of our prayers could be accepted, that Allah was really great, and that we should learn how to pray to Him. She also said that she liked how Keloglan’s mother’s prayer was accepted right away.

Already at the end of the program we all said:
“Oh Allah! Do not let us down, please give our hearts virtue and grace, Amen.”
