Dear Precious Members,

Gulberenk Educational Children’s Programs prepared by Gulberenk Values Education Association continue to be performed in Izmir on the last Sunday of each month. This January’s title was “One’s Best Bib and Tucker”. Through the program we said, “Wear what suits you, make your jewellery go with you, but never let your best bib and tucker compete with others, let your good deeds compete instead”. Furthermore, it turned out that the children of Gulberenk do not set their hearts on trivial issues. A Gulberenk child doesn’t rack her/his mind with empty things, empty thoughts, meaningless and trivial topics or gossips. The Gulberenk child always knows whom and what (not) to believe, realizes fitna (mischief) at once and is always watchful about her/his behaviours. The World flows towards the afterlife; life flows towards death. Therefore, Gulberek children are submissive to the messages sent by Allah and his Beloved Messenger Muhammed (pbuh).

The Gulberenk child would not put on things morally and spiritually that would lead to extravagance and jealousy, instead of leading to heaven and peace. The most precious things to wear in the life is the “piety dress”, symbol of devotion, and the most priceless crown is the “hafiz” crown. One should not live by constantly racking her/his mind on useless issues. The most beautiful behaviour of a Muslim is the live the moment and be thankful. Some people do imagine and so dream a lot, but then, they can not focus on their business by doing so. This is not true at all. One should imagine; but we should not condemn ourselves to merely dreaming. Whatever we wear and put on our hair and so, in the end what we will wear is just the gravecloth. It is necessary not to forget this, and try to live according to Allah’s messages. What’s the gravecloth? It is the cloth we will wear while waiting for our turn in grave to the afterlife. As you will realized, once again we contemplated as Muslims and also had fun at our Gulberenk program. Thus, in Izmir we completed our seventeenth program. We promised to meet again in upcoming new programs and went home!
