Dear Precious Members,

Gulberenk performed on the Istanbul stages with the title “Stormy Program”. The program, in which we discussed the benefits of reading, led to various beautiful moments. Hundreds of children watched the program and learned that not only the books but that everything in the universe can be read.

It seems that all living and non-living things are like a book. Leaves, stones, trees, animals… Everything is like a book. Even the door of our house, the shoes we wear, the bread we eat… These are all like written texts that can always be read. For example, on one of the doors it is written: “I am really glad to be the door of this house and love to protect the household; but when they shut me fiercely, I get hurt. Okay, I am strong and firm, I am of steel, but still I like kindness too”.

In one of those kids’ shoes is written: “You have not cleaned me for almost a week. You do not paint me properly, nor do you care. And as if this is not enough, you constantly wear me and play football. Moreover, you are getting a little fat each passing day and complicate my duty of carrying you. To let you know, I mightl give my resignation soon, if this goes on!”. Thus, the child took precautions when he read this warning. He started to be nice to his shoe. When he did so, the note of the shoe changed: “Thank Allah, my owner values me! In that case, I owe him and will serve him greatly. Thank Allah!”.

If we look at everything through the query eye, we will start to read many secrets. It is not enough to graduate from a myriad schools. What we actually need to read in the name of Allah is to try to understand why He created us and think of it by looking at other beings that He has created. Those who do so will approach Allah and be thankful.

This is the month in which we learned all these with Gulberenk. Is that all? Nope! We have also learned how we can read people, read their feelings and needs by looking at their faces. We have discovered how to read sadness, joy, confusion and sorrow. It was very nice to make new discoveries and gain new experiences!

A group of friends who participated in our program prepared a mosque model to be given as gift to Gülberenk and it was greatly appreciated by everyone. We thanked each of them for this marvelous designed gift!

Together again with great enthusiasm and joy we repeated the following:
We are our brothers and sisters, and our last name is Gulberenk!
Our children’s of Ummah, and our last name is Gulberenk!
At the end of the program, few participants commented the following:
Rana Al: “I am eight years old. It is my second attendence to this program. It was very nice, and I learned many beautiful things. I liked Keloglan the most”.
Hacer Çokur: “I am thirteen. The program was very exciting. Next time I will be with my friends. I will tell them to join such beautiful organizations”.
