Dear Guests,
In the Gulberenk Educational Children’s Program our June title was “The Chubby Report”. Here we emphasized that the reports we get at school in the end of every term are really tiny reports when compared to the real reports one would receive in the afterlife. Thus we said, “Our worldly reports are tinier than the afterlife reports, the afterlife reports cover this little tiny worldly report!”. Likewise we have Mathematics, Social Science…etc. which are involved in our worldly report and let us expect to get high honour degrees. To receive these high grades we work hard a whole year and hope a succesful result. What about the afterlife report? Our lessons for this report are, for instance, prayers, fasting, zakat, pilgrimage, charity, good morality. We need to work hard for these lessons. If we do the salah in a proper way and fast regularly then we believe our beautfiul morality will keep us away from degeneration. Likewise it is not enough for us to study only one lesson at school, all of our worship should be done well, but at the same time we should beautify our morality. We should try to be successful in all aspects. “My heart is already refined, I do not need to pray regularly” is futile excuse. Good morality is like the “behavioral grades” part of the same world report. And good morality covers behaviours like generosity, sacrifice, benevolence, kindness, decency, love, cleanliness…etc. Our parents should warn us about the “afterlife report” like they do for our school reports. Because our afterlife reports are much more important than our school reports. School reports are given by our teachers, but the afterlife report would be awarded by Allah. We got so glad to hear this! Afterwards, we learned that for the sake of this report we should work for a life-long life, not just a year. We also learned that who fasts will pass through the sacred Reyyan Gate. Thus, we decided to fasti with greater patience.
The winner of this year’s design competition was our dear friend Meryem Zehra PAKSOY with her Gulberenk Mosque project. We are so happy for her!
The program opened our horizon with precious trainers from Biga, Gonen, Izmir, Ankara and Kocaeli. After our break in July, we hope to meet you again in August, and no, we did not leave! Hope to meet again only after two months, we all went to our homes to be back soon!
