Dear Distinguished Members,

Gulberenk took the stage in July with the program entitled, “Watermelon For The Hardworking”. Thus we learned that Allah would favour one with victory if she/he instead of giving into laziness works hard, gives effort and sweats for a goal.

There were two fields or rather farms on the stage. On the hardworking farmer’s farm, the watermelons were seen to have grown beautifully. On the other hand, the lazy farmer’s watermelon were as small as a bun. Thereby, we learned that if one does not water a yard in the daybreaks, does not pluck and clean the yard from herbs, and does not strive with love, thankfullness and contemplation he/she will not be successful. This is all the same with growing a watermelon, or while studying and worship

It is necessary to work even a little but then continuously and show goodwill and patience while working. If a person wants to be a pilot, he should work hard with effort and regularly. If one wants to be a doctor, she/he had better be trained at a medical institution. The work of those who want to be a master of ceramics is another area of interest, and the work of those who want to be a teacher is quite another domain. Thus, we understood that if one has an aim she/he has to make an appropriate effort for a certain goal.

Above all, each of us has the most important duty, to try to live according to the commands and prohibitions of our beloved Allah, the supreme. And the way to do this is to obey the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad Mustafa Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

All our work in this world is actually a preparation for the afterlife. Those who want to earn the heaven should be engaged in auspicious, beneficial and good deeds, and should not separate him/herself from sajda and the prayers. One who does not make effort will be forgotten for sure. That is, especially the lazy one is believed to leave behind not even a tiny piece of charity, and naturally this one will be forgotten too soon.

Each of the songs, quests and plays through the program reinforced our enthusiasm for being hardworking. In the meantime, it was very good for all of us to see that Gulberenk sisters, who have worked beautifully for months, are also tranferring these programs to their own cities. “Watermelon For The Hardworking” program has become the internship program of Kutahya Sudegan.

Gulberenk continues to perform its program free of charge on the first Saturday and Sunday of each month in Istanbul and the last Sunday of each month in Izmir, Zonguldak and Adana. Gulberenk Bees are expecting their rewards for their actions and so activism only from Allah.

But what can we expect of Allah for what we have done so far, while our beloved Allah has already given us countless blessings, and we cannot even glorify them adequately? Of course, we greatly expect His consent and forgiveness.
