Dear Distinguished Members,
Gulberenk Educational Children’s Programs, a service of Gulberenk Values Education Association, continue to be staged in Adana! In july Gulberenk took to the stage with the program entitled “Watermelon For The Hardworking”. Through the program we were taught that Allah would never grant success or victory to the lazy ones, instead He would grace the ones that work hard and put much effort.
Thus, there were two metaphoric fields on the stage, on the hardworking farmer’s field you could see the fresh huge watermelons while on the lazy farmer’s field the watermelons were severely tiny. Here we learned that if one does not water his/her field through the dawn, does not pluck the wild grasses giving harm to the fruit or vegetable, and does not contemplate, feel gratitude and love, he/she would never obtain success. While growing a watermelon, studying or worshipping we all need the above mentioned motivations.
Even though one may have baby steps in doing something, regularity is the golden rule, and while working hard have goodwill and patience. If one wants to be a pilot she/he should put effort accordingly. If one wants to be a doctor, she/he should be educated at a medical school, a ceramic master or a teacher’s education are all different areas and expect different efforts. So we have understood that each goal has its own way of effort.
Above all, each of us has the most important duty, and that is trying to live according to the commands and prohibitions of Allah the supreme. The ultimate way to do this is to obey the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad Mustafa Sallah alayhi and wa sallam. All our actions in the world seems to be in fact a preparation for the afterlife. Those who want to go to the heaven should be engaged in auspicious, beneficial and good deeds, and should not put distance to the sajdaa and prayer (worship). One who does not put effort would be forgotten for sure, as such a person probably would not be able to leave behind a piece of charity. Through the program each of the songs, quests and plays reinforced our enthusiasm for being hardworking.
To your notice! Gulberenk continues to perform free of charge on the first Saturday – Sunday of each month in Istanbul and the last Sunday of each month in Izmir, Zonguldak and Adana. Gulberenk Bees do not expect any payment as they expect their rewards for their actions only from Allah.
Nevertheless, what can we expect while Allah has already given us countless blessings and glories? Of course, we might expect His consent and forgiveness.
