Dear Precious Members,

The Gulberenk Educational Children’s Program, prepared by the Gulberenk Values Education Association together with the Golden Child Magazine, took place in two different places in Istanbul! This month’s programs in Altinoluk Magazine and ILAM halls were based on the subject “Dhikr”. Dhikr means remembrance, commemorating and often repeating. The dhikr was discussed in different aspects. We have learned that the hearts can only be refreshed with the remembrance of Allah, that is, dhikr.

Turns out a person would not just do the dhikr by chanting it. For example, the invocation of Allah can also be realized by praying, thankfulness, doing good, and contemplation. The prayer-beads says: “I feel very sorry for seeing people who take me by the hand and say the salawat on the one hand, and watching a movie on the same time. Others who are gossiping constantly. Those people’s salawat does not bring any peace to me how can their hearts be relieved!”.

Karagoz heard about the virtue of doing dhikr this time, and left all the work and drowned himself into the dhikr. Hacivat told him that it was not true, and that he could not be constantly with Allah with dhikr. He adviced him that he could chant Allah with by heart, so that he could call Allah in silence on the one hand and do his work at the same time. It comes out that we can remember and call Allah wholeheartedly while talking, working, and even relaxing.

This month in Gulberenk we learned that animals also chant Allah. Dogs, cats, sheep, bees, ducks, frogs are always calling another name of Allah. For example, the ducks do not really say quack quack, in fact, they say “Haq Haq” (meanin Al- Haq). Bees do not really buzz but say “Aziz” (Al- Aziz).

Some student comments from the audience. Hiranur Polat said that she is seven years old. In this program, she mostly liked the frogs drinking water. Unfortunately, we could not understand the records of the interviews in Ilam so do not have any comments from that program there. But of her smiley, we understand she liked Gulberenk.

You see, it was a full-fledged program again. Moreover, our guests coming from Cyprus added a different beauty to our day. We sincerely thank the Zerafet Culture Center and Sehbal Sultantepe for making it possible for Gulberenk to meet up with many kids!

The three horsemen like main actresses, who spent their years serving and who added joy to our hearts with their assets, were with us through the program. On this occasion, we greet the ladies Zikriye Cilek, Gulsen Ataseven and Fatma Kutbi again with love and respect.

Now, we are going to roll up our sleeves for a brand new show. Let us leave for now!
